USC vs Utah Betting Odds & Predictions
These two teams have already met this season, with Utah pulling off a 43-42 squeaker in Salt Lake City on October 15. Since then, though, USC has been on a tear, including knocking off a pair of Top 25 opponents in back-to-back weeks.
USC certainly has more at stake here, as they’ll be a lock for a College Football Playoff spot if they can get revenge. They also have more talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball, where they’re led by the likely Heisman Trophy winner in Caleb Williams.
All of this suggests that you should bet on Utah at your own risk, and even that 3-point spread looks a little suspect. We expect a motivated USC team to come out firing on all cylinders, and Utah will have to dig deep (and probably get lucky) to keep up.
Despite this, if there is a significant weakness to exploit here for Utah, it’s the Trojans’ defense. It’s been questionable all year and has given plenty of other opponents a way back into the game more times than is comfortable for USC.
This bodes well with another bet we like, which is the over; at 68.0 points. A juicy bet, indeed. These two teams combined for 85 points the last time they met, and USC has only been held to less than 40 points twice in the last two months.

USC vs Utah Betting Guide: Football Betting Terms to Know
If you’re new to the world of sports betting, all the terms and numbers can be confusing. Here are the main things you should know so that you can take advantage of some of the great odds on the PAC-12 Championship.
Moneyline: USC (-160) / Utah (+135) @ Bovada
The moneyline is one of the most basic sports bets you can make. Simply put, you’re betting on who you think will win.
This is described numerically, with the favorite getting a negative number (such as -110) and the underdog getting a positive number (such as +110).
These numbers are based on a $100 bet. Essentially, if you bet on a favorite at -110, you’d have to risk $110 in order to win $100. If you bet on the underdog, on the other hand, you’d win $110 on a $100 wager.
In this matchup, Bovada has USC listed at -160 and Utah at +135. So, you’ll have to bet $160 on USC to win $100 (or $260 total), while a $100 bet on Utah would win you $135 (for a total of $235) if it comes in.
>> Bet on Utah or USC to win the game at these odds at Bovada
Point Spread: USC -3 Spread (-105) / Utah +3 Spread (-115) @ Bovada
Point spreads are the other major way in which odds are described in American sports betting. Not all sports offer spreads, but they’re very common for football games.
With a point spread, the underdog is given a certain amount of free points in order to make the game competitive. As with the moneyline, the underdog will be represented by a positive number, while the favorite will be shown with a negative number.
In this case, USC is favored by 3 points, so you’ll see USC -3 and Utah +3. This means that USC has to win by more than 3 points for you to win the bet (if they win by exactly 3, it’s a push, and you get your money back).
So, if USC were to win 42-41, everyone who bet on Utah would win their bets.
>> Bet on the Utah-USC point spread
Over/Under: O/U 68 Points (-110) @ Bovada
Not everyone wants to pick winners and losers, and for them, the gambling gods invented the over/under. This bet allows you to wager on the final score of the game.
The over/under will be represented by a single number; this number represents the combined total of points the teams will score in the game. In this instance, Bovada has the over/under at 68.0 points.
If you take the over, you’re betting that the two teams will combine for more than 68 points, and vice versa for the under. As with the point spread, it will be a push, and you’ll get your money back if they combine for exactly 68 points.
>> Place a bet on the over/under market for the game
Props
Props are another popular betting option, and you can find a ton of them at most sportsbooks. “Props” is short for “propositions,” and they aren’t necessarily tied to either the score or the final outcome of the game.
There are many standard props that you’ll find at just about any sportsbook — things like which team will score first or whether the game will go to overtime. You may also find some crazy props at certain betting sites, like how long the national anthem will be or what color the Gatorade that’s dumped over the winning coach will be.
Prop bets are incredibly fun, but they’re also incredibly difficult to predict with any accuracy.

Sports Bonus
Crypto may be the way of the future, but not all sports bettors are ready to take the plunge. Regardless of whether you want to use Bitcoin or more traditional deposit methods, Bovada has you covered with two separate welcome bonuses.
- Traditional Welcome Bonus: If you use fiat currency, you can get a 50% deposit match up to $250 on your first deposit. The site doesn’t require a code, so just select the correct welcome bonus option when making that initial deposit.
- Crypto Welcome Bonus: If you want to deposit with crypto (Bovada accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash), then you’ll need to use code BTCSWB750 when making your first deposit. This will grant you a 75% deposit match up to $750.

Pros:
- Great for betting favorites
- Offers risk-free wagers
- Lots of fun NCAA football futures
- Head-to-head props available
- Releases some of the earliest lines in the business
Cons:
- High deposit minimums on bonuses
- Not ideal for low-stakes bettors
BetOnline is one of the most well-rounded gambling sites on the internet, as they offer a full-fledged casino and racebook to go with their sports betting options.
College football fans love them because they usually have some of the friendliest odds on favorites, making it easier to win a few bets if your favorite team happens to be a powerhouse.
BetOnline Odds for USC vs. Utah
- Moneyline: USC -150, Utah +130
- Spread: USC -2.5
- O/U: 68.5
Trojan fans should consider making their wagers at BetOnline, as it has some of the best USC odds we’ve found anywhere. While a half point may not seem like much, there are line shoppers out there who have made fortunes off a fraction of a point here and there.
You’ll also get an additional half-point if you take the under here, although we still like the over in this particular matchup.
Sports Bonus
There’s good news and bad news when it comes to the sports bonus at BetOnline. The good news is that it’s extremely generous, as it’s a 50% match up to $1,000.
The bad news is that it’s not ideal for low-stakes bettors, as you have to deposit at least $55 to qualify for it. There’s also a 10x rollover requirement, which is fairly standard (but double what you’ll find at Bovada).
If you want to take advantage of all that bonus cash, simply use code BOL1000 when making your first deposit.

3. Sportsbetting.ag — Best Site for Betting on the USC Trojans

Pros:
- Excellent live betting platform
- Tons of bets available
- Offers both deposit and reload bonuses
- Crypto bettors get extra bonuses
- Great for parlays
Cons:
- Layout may be confusing to newbies
- Places limits on certain bets
Old-school sports bettors will love Sportsbetting.ag, as its layout is reminiscent of the betting sheets handed out in physical betting parlors. That may make it a bit off-putting to newer punters, though, as it takes a bit of getting used to.
However, the site does a good job of making things as simple as possible, and they even offer features like an odds calculator to help you make the best wagers you can.
Sportsbetting.ag Odds for USC-Utah
- Moneyline: USC -147, Utah +127
- Spread: USC -2.5
- O/U: 68.5
With the exception of the moneyline, the odds here are identical to those at BetOnline, so this is another excellent spot for USC marks to place their bets. In fact, you’ll get a slightly better price on the moneyline here for both teams.
If you plan to bet on the game as it happens, you can’t ask for a better live betting platform than the one you’ll find here. The odds are updated constantly, and they’re usually player-friendly, so don’t be afraid to put more money down after kickoff.
Sports Bonus
The bonus here is very similar to BetOnline’s, as you’ll get a 50% match up to $1,000 if you use code SB1000. You’ll still need to pony up at least $55 to earn the bonus, and it’s subject to a 10x rollover.
Where Sportsbetting.ag sets itself apart, though, is in the reload bonuses. You can get a 25% bonus (up to $250) on every single deposit after your first one, and if you use crypto for any deposits, you’ll get an additional 35% added to your account.

- 241 different props for USC-Utah
- Bonuses up to $1,000 for new and established bettors
Cons:
- Substantial minimum deposits to qualify for bonuses

MyBookie is very player-friendly, and that extends from the odds to the useful wagering guides they publish. They take great pains to make placing sports bets as easy and stress-free as possible.
MyBookie Odds for USC-Utah
- Moneyline: USC -151, Utah +124
- Spread: USC -3
- O/U: 68.0
MyBookie’s lines fall in the middle of the pack relative to other websites, so you aren’t likely to find great prices here. Instead, it’s a place to wager because it makes things so easy on the user (and for the great bonuses, which we’ll get to shortly).
They make up for this by offering an enormous number of props — 241 for this game, to be exact. If you can’t find something to bet on here, you’re too hard to please.
Sports Bonus
This is one of the few sportsbooks that seems to value existing players as much as new ones, as their reload bonus is nearly as generous as their first deposit offer.
For both, you can earn up to $1,000 — but it’s a 50% match for new players versus only a 25% match for existing ones. The new player offer requires a $50 minimum deposit, while the reload bonus is double that. Both offers are subject to a 10x rollover requirement.

5. XBet — Lowest Rollover of All Utah vs USC Betting Sites

Pros:
- Great college football action all season long
- Fast and knowledgeable customer service team
- Low wagering requirements
- Payouts in less than 48 hours
Cons:
- Weaker odds than the competition
- Smaller bonus amounts
XBet is the new kid on the block here, but they’re making a name for themselves by offering a ton of action and backing it up with a fantastic user experience.
Their odds are generally a step behind the other sites on the list, but they have a fanatically loyal customer base due to how well they treat their bettors.
XBet Odds for USC-Utah
- Moneyline: USC -158, Utah +129
- Spread: USC -3
- O/U: 68.0
XBet’s odds are the weakest of the bunch — which is why it’s #5 on the list. However, it makes up for the slightly inferior prices by offering a ton of bets and top-notch customer service, ensuring that your betting experience here will be as hassle-free as possible.
And don’t forget, you can bet on more than the PAC-12 Championship. We’d recommend dropping a few bucks on Caleb Williams to win the Heisman while you’re here. The odds aren’t fantastic at -2500, but hey…a lock’s a lock.
Sports Bonus
New players can take advantage of a 50% match up to $500 by using code XBET50. This offer is subject to a 7x rollover and has a minimum deposit amount of $45 attached.
On subsequent deposits, you can get a 25% bonus up to $250 if you enter code XB25 when prompted on the cashier page. This offer has a paltry 5x rollover, but it does have a $100 minimum deposit requirement.

The Most High-Stakes Rematch in PAC-12 History?
These two teams have met once already this season, with Utah coming out the winner by the narrowest of margins in a 43-42 victory. That was on their home field, however, and against a team that didn’t have quite as much at stake as this current iteration of the Trojans does.
Since then, USC has crushed all their opposition, including two very good teams in Notre Dame and UCLA. They’ve also watched teams ahead of them stumble, and they’re currently sitting at #4 in the CFP rankings.
As far as the playoffs are concerned, all they have to do is win, and they’re in.
That’s not only huge for the team but for the PAC-12 as a whole. The conference hasn’t sent a team to the playoffs since 2017, and as a result, it’s found itself the butt of a few jokes. Having a resurgent USC in the mix would do wonders for rebuilding the conference’s reputation.
Historically, though, Utah has cared little about records, favorites, or what’s best for the conference as a whole, and they love playing the spoiler in games like this. Regardless of who ultimately takes the PAC-12 crown, this should be a fun game to watch.
USC vs Utah Predictions & Betting Tips
USC Will Win If…
Caleb Williams puts them on his back and carries them to victory. The odds-on favorite for the Heisman has been electric all season long, and he only seems to be getting better with every game.
He torched UCLA, and Notre Dame for a combined 7 TDs, and neither team could harness him in the running game. His ability to scramble outside the pocket when a play breaks down makes him extremely dangerous — and Utah didn’t have any answers for him the first time around, surrendering 381 yards and 5 TDs through the air.
Utah Will Win If…
The Utes have a pretty good dual-threat QB of their own in Cameron Rising, who rushed for both the final TD and game-winning two-point conversion the first time these two teams met. Rising is talented and experienced, and USC’s defense hasn’t exactly struck fear into the heart of opponents this season.
Also, Utah doesn’t have nearly as much pressure on them as USC does. Besides pride, all a win here gets them is a Rose Bowl berth (as opposed to a likely trip to the Alamo Bowl). USC — and Caleb Williams — are the ones who have to deal with the hopes and dreams of an entire conference resting on their shoulders.
Our Prediction
While Utah under Kyle Whittingham has been notorious for knocking off higher-ranked teams, we just don’t see how they can contain this ultra-talented USC offense twice in a row. There are too many weapons on the cardinal-and-gold’s side of the field, from Williams to Jordan Addison and Mario Williams.
The bet here is to take USC and give the points. We predict a game that’s close initially, with the Trojans pulling away late to claim a 49-35 victory.
Oh, and go ahead and grab that over while you’re at it.
