UFC Betting Picks and Predictions
Here are some of our predictions and picks for UFC betting:
Rafael Fiziev vs. Mateusz Gamrot
Pick: Gamrot (+130)
Best Bet: Gamrot moneyline (+130)
The main event comes in the lightweight division, as two top ten ranked fighters in Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamrot clash.
Joining the UFC in 2019, Fiziev’s debut couldn’t have gone any worse – getting knocked out in round one. Since then however, Fiziev has won six of the last seven fights, including defeating former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Though falling short in a recent fight against Justin Gaethje, the result being a majority decision proved Fiziev can hang with the elite of the division.
A pure striker, Fiziev is as dynamic on the feet as they come. Powerful and precise, with excellent distance management, Fiziev can truly put anyone out who dares go toe-to-toe with him. Not easy to take down, Fiziev has shrugged off thirty-eight of forty-two takedown attempts in eight UFC fights.
Meanwhile, with wins in five of the last six fights, Gamrot has proven he is among the top ten of the division. Coming off a split decision victory over Jalin Turner, Gamrot has earned an opportunity to take out a fighter ranked above him. Fighting in his second UFC main event in the past four fights, it’s clear that brass see’s a potential contender in the making.
A gifted wrestler and grappler, Gamrot has landed a takedown in all seven UFC fights. To go further, in five of the seven fights, Gamrot landed four or more takedowns. Evolving as a striker, Gamrot has proven that he can hold his own on the feet if need be.
In what should be an entertaining main event, we are backing Gamrot.
If this were a three round fight, the edge would certainly go to Fiziev. His takedown defense combined with his striking advantage would ideally stifle Gamrot.
However, with the extra two rounds, we believe that Gamrot can turn the tide of the fight. Given his heavy wrestling and grappling style, we anticipate Gamrot will bring forth a hard pace and overall grind to the fight.
Though Fiziev is a talented fighter, there is no secret that the later the fight goes, the more he begins to fade. In fact, in three of Fiziev’s four decisions in the UFC, at least two judges ruled round three for the opponent. In the lone decision where that wasn’t the case, one judge did score round three for his opponent.
Having already fought in a main event where he dropped the first two rounds and won the next three, Gamrot is built for twenty-five minutes. Fiziev has shown he is vulnerable after round two, which makes us believe that Gamrot can weather the storm and rally to victory.

Bryce Mitchell vs. Dan Ige
Pick: Mitchell (-209)
Best Bet: Mitchell wins by decision (-115)
The co-main event comes in the featherweight division, as the tenth ranked Bryce Mitchell takes on the twelfth ranked Dan Ige.
Coming off his first professional defeat, snapping a fifteen fight win streak, Mitchell returns to the octagon looking to get back in the win column. Facing Mitchell is Ige, who has won two consecutive fights and is closing in on the top ten in the rankings.
In what should be an intriguing fight, we believe Mitchell will win.
A grappler, Mitchell is relentless in his pursuit to get the fight to the ground. Landing a takedown in six of his seven UFC fights, as well as nineteen total takedowns, Mitchell has faced little resistance. On the ground, Mitchell is a submission threat, but is more known for his ability to be suffocating while in top control.
Though Ige has caught fire of late, stylistically this isn’t a favorable fight for him. Primarily a striker, Ige is active and carries some sneaky power in his hands. Mixing in an occasional takedown, Ige can be tricky to face.
However, Ige’s takedown defense can be exploited. Having been taken down three or more times in three of the past nine fights, with the high being nine, we believe that Mitchell has a clear route to victory.
As long as Mitchell doesn’t over exert himself, we envision this fight looking somewhat similar to when Ige was thoroughly controlled by Movsar Evloev.

Marina Rodriguez vs. Michelle Waterson-Gomez 2
Pick: Rodriguez (-300)
Best Bet: Rodriguez wins by decision (-180)
We have a showdown in the women’s strawweight division, as Marina Rodriguez takes on Michelle Waterson-Gomez in a rematch.
After nearly earning a title shot, Rodriguez has dropped two consecutive fights and is in desperate need of a victory. Looking to play spoiler and exact revenge is Waterson-Gomez, who too needs a victory after three consecutive losses.
Though we expect this to be a good scrap, we ultimately believe Rodriguez will prevail.
While Waterson-Gomez is always competitive, it seems she can never do enough to sway the judges on the scorecard. In the last six fights, Waterson-Gomez has lost five times. Of those five losses, four have come by decision – two of which were split decisions.
In the first fight between the two, they fought in a scheduled five-round fight. Rodriguez proved victorious, winning on all three judges’ scorecards (49-46, 49-46 and 48-47). The lone round that Waterson-Gomez was able to win was round four.
Obviously every fight is different, but given this is a scheduled three-round fight, we believe that Waterson-Gomez’s chances are dramatically less. Rodriguez is the more active and defensively sound fighter. In their first encounter, Rodriguez out-landed Waterson-Gomez in four of the five rounds and by 36 total significant strikes.
The only chance Waterson-Gomez has to win this fight is by taking Rodriguez down. It’s the only aspect in their first encounter that led her to decisively winning a round.
However, Waterson-Gomez was only able to secure one of her five takedown attempts. It’s not even a skill issue, it’s a size issue. A former atomweight, Waterson-Gomez has struggled to utilize her grappling up a weight class.
In a fight against someone as vulnerable to being taken down like Rodriguez, Waterson-Gomez would certainly have a chance. Yet, Rodriguez’s significant size and output advantage sway us in believing the Brazilian closes the chapter on Waterson-Gomez.
Bet on Rodriguez vs. Waterson-Gomez at BUSR.
Bryan Battle vs. AJ Fletcher
Pick: Battle (-190)
Best Bet: Battle moneyline (-190)
We have an exciting fight in the welterweight division, as Bryan Battle squares off against AJ Fletcher.
A winner of eight of the last nine fights, four of which have come in the UFC, Battle appears to be closing in on a ranked fight soon. Facing Battle is Fletcher, who halted a two-fight losing streak, nabbing his first UFC victory over Themba Gorimbo.
In a fight that could see several momentum swings, we ultimately believe that Battle will pull out the victory.
Fletcher is an exciting fighter, who has heavy hands, good kicks and good wrestling. Always seeking the finish, Fletcher is aggressive in everything he does. With a muscle filled frame however, Fletcher has shown a tendency to slow down as the fight wanes.
Meanwhile, Battle has excellent cardio and is active as they come. Landing 4.47 significant strikes per minute, which rises to 7.23 if you subtract his fight against Rinat Fakhretdinov, Battle is relentless on the feet. With an iron chin, Battle can endure punishment with the best of them.
The gray area in this fight is if Fletcher will wrestle and how successful he will be. Battle has been controlled before by a wrestler and is known to have porous takedown defense. Yet with a three inch height and ten inch reach advantage, we could see Fletcher having issues getting inside to take Battle down.
Outside of on the feet, where Battle will get the best of Fletcher is in the later rounds. There is a vast difference in cardio and it’s part of the reason we are favoring Battle to win the fight.
Visit MyBookie for the latest Battle vs. Fletcher odds.
Ricardo Ramos vs. Charles Jourdain
Pick: Jourdain (-135)
Best Bet: Jourdain moneyline (-135)
We have a scrap in the featherweight division, as Ricardo Ramos takes on Charles Jourdain.
Coming off a spectacular spinning backfist knockout over Danny Chavez, Ramos returns to the octagon seeking to replicate his performance. Facing Ramos is Jourdain, who halted a two-fight losing streak with a big win over Kron Gracie at UFC 288.
In what has the ingredients to be a wild fight, we believe that Jourdain is ultimately going to prevail.
Though Ramos is coming off a knockout victory, his strength is within his grappling. Landing thirteen takedowns in the past six fights, as well as having seven submission victories, Ramos prefers to get the fight to the ground. On the feet, Ramos has a flashy arsenal, but his 38% striking accuracy is something that needs to improve.
Meanwhile, Jourdain is an active striker, who is landing an excellent 5.78 significant strikes per minute. Allergic to boring fights, Jourdain lives for the brawl. With abysmal takedown defense however, Jourdain is prone to being taken down and controlled.
While we are concerned that Ramos’ grappling can stifle Jourdain, at the same time, Ramos has never been one to rack up control time. In fact, and only referring to five of the ten UFC fights Ramos has gone the distance, the longest control time for Ramos accumulated was 3 minutes and 26 minutes.
Against Jourdain, we don’t see that being nearly enough time to neutralize the Canadian. Especially when you consider that Jourdain has an output and accuracy advantage on the feet. With the rules of scoring a fight favoring damage, we could see Jourdain winning on this criteria.

Over/Under Bets on UFC
Among mixed martial arts fans, it’s common knowledge that the unpredictable is typical.
However, there are trends and styles that lean towards a certain bet. In this instance, we are discussing over/under. When trying to decide on an over/under, there are several aspects that go into finding the right side to be on. Observing this card, there are plenty of examples that we have shared.
Find out more about Over/Under bets at BetOnline.
Rafael Fiziev vs. Mateusz Gamrot
Rafael Fiziev has a record of 12-2. Of those 12 wins, 9 have come inside the distance (8 knockout, 1 submission). Fiziev has been stopped once in fourteen fights.
Mateusz Gamrot has a record of 22-2 with one no contest. Of the 22 wins, 12 have come inside the distance (7 knockouts, 5 submissions). Gamrot has never been stopped.
The over/under is set at 4 ½ (-130 Over)
Fiziev has only been scheduled for five rounds once, and the fight ended just short of 4 ½ rounds. Gamrot has fought for twenty-five minutes once in the UFC and twice on the regional scene.
Given Fiziev is a finisher, who’s cardio is questionable over twenty-five minutes, we believe that it would be safer to seek out over 3 ½ rounds.
Gamrot has excellent cardio, experience in fighting for twenty-five minutes and has never been finished in twenty-three professional fights. Though we aren’t certain Gamrot can supply a finish, we do caution that it could happen the later the fight goes.
Which is why we recommend taking the over 3 ½ rounds instead.
Marina Rodriguez vs. Michelle Waterson-Gomez
Marina Rodriguez has a record of 16-3-2. Of those 16 wins, 7 have come inside the distance (6 knockouts, 1 submission). Rodriguez has been stopped once in twenty-one fights.
Michelle Waterson-Gomez has a record of 18-11. Of those 18 wins, 12 have come inside the distance (3 knockouts, 9 submissions). Waterson-Gomez has been stopped five times in twenty-nine fights.
The over/under is set at 2 ½ (-350 Over)
Rodriguez has gone over 2 ½ rounds in nine of the past eleven fights. Waterson-Gomez has hit the over 2 ½ mark in nine of the past ten fights.
Though the odds are extremely high, there is a good reason. Rodriguez and Waterson-Gomez have been to a decision 90% of the time in their past ten fights. In addition, both fought each other for five rounds. Given this is a three round scheduled fight, we feel strongly that this fight is bound to go to the scorecards.
Deciding the Outcome
When trying to figure out the outcome of the fight, it’s important to look through a fighter’s record. There you can gauge whether a fighter is proficient in knockouts, submissions, or both. Lastly, look at what a fighter has done of late to find a trend.
Looking at this card, there are several fighters who are more likely to win by a certain outcome.
Bryce Mitchell
Bryce Mitchell has a record of 15-1. Of those 15 wins, 9 have come by submission.
Before entering the UFC, Mitchell had won eight of his nine fights on the regional scene by submission.
However, since debuting in the UFC in 2018, Mitchell has only recorded one submission victory among his six total UFC wins. Though Mitchell is dangerous on the ground, he has more often than not, remained positionally sound over seeking the finish.
Given opponent Dan Ige has never been stopped, we believe that if Mitchell were to win, it’s likely going to come by decision (-115).
Ricardo Ramos
Ricardo Ramos has a record of 16-4. Of those 16 wins, 7 have come by submission.
While Ramos has won eleven of his sixteen victories inside the distance, it’s important to note that eight of the finishes came on the regional scene.
Ramos is certainly a finisher, but that 89% finishing rate on the regional scene drops to 43% in the UFC. Though Ramos’ last fight ended by knockout, we aren’t favoring a finish should Ramos win.
In addition to the lower finishing rate in the UFC, opponent Charles Jourdain has only been stopped once in twenty-one fights by submission. Given Jourdain’s durability, we believe that if Ramos were to claim victory, it’s going to come by decision (+325).

Tips and Tricks for Betting on the UFC
1. Sign up for multiple sportsbooks
There are several reasons why signing up for multiple sportsbooks makes sense. For one, you can compare odds. This is called line shopping.
The benefit of line shopping is to cash in on the odds with the higher payout.
Another reason why signing up for multiple sportsbooks is a good idea is you get to enjoy several sports bonuses at the same time. Whether it’s deposit bonuses or free bets, sportsbooks have enticing advantages that give the consumer little reason not to get in on the action.
2. Don’t be afraid to hedge
In every sport, upsets occur. In mixed martial arts, the unpredictable often shines brightest.
If you place a parlay that is one fight away from cashing in, even if the odds are tremendously in your favor, don’t be afraid to hedge.
In a sport where a fight can end on a dime, whether a stoppage occurs or an injury halts the bout, it’s better to be safer. After all, profit is profit until it isn’t.
3. Keep an eye on live betting odds
When the fight is underway, and you have action on a particular fighter, it’s smart to watch the live betting odds. Especially if the fighter you picked dominates and looks to be closing in on cashing your bet.
The reason to look is that in that scenario, the opposition’s odds will be astronomically inflated. To miss an opportunity to sprinkle some on the opponent and assure profit could be costly.
For example, when round five started between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards in their second fight, Usman was a -5000 favorite, according to BetOnline. Edwards was a +1200 underdog to win and +4000 to win via knockout in round five. Given that the odds continue to change during the fight, Edwards could be an even bigger underdog.
Anyways, Edwards went on to stun Usman with a head-kick knockout with less than a minute left in the fight – leaving backers of Usman stunned and with losing bets.
