Tottenham Hotspur strong favourites to overcome Leeds United

Today’s Tales: Are you watching Harry Kane?

One of the two matches to be played on Sunday in the Premier League this upcoming weekend will take place in north London as Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds United in their state-of-the-art stadium.

Antonio Conte will have been pleased that he would have had a little extra time to learn all about his team and his new surroundings after the international break came shortly after he arrived back in England’s capital after a few years away, however he will be the first person to tell you he is not on a short visit and has plenty of work to do.

Indeed, he has already been in charge of a handful of Spurs games thus far in his short tenure, with his team perhaps showing why they were in desperate need of a manager of his quality to arrive.

After having headed into the final international break of 2021 with a 0-0 draw against Everton, Tottenham will go up against Leeds United in Conte’s first home Premier League game as the Tottenham manager. If the betting odds are anything to go by, then he could be in for his first league victory as well as Spurs are priced at 8/11 to win on Betway Sportsbook.

With Harry Kane having managed to bag himself seven goals in his two matches with England – a hat-trick against Albania and four against San Marino – there will be many that are hoping he brings those football boots back with him to the club and wears them against Leeds on Sunday.

Admittedly, a completely different proposition awaits them though, whilst we all know that there is nothing guaranteed in football and with Marcelo Bielsa in charge of the Whites, there is no doubt that the Yorkshire outfit will be looking to spoil the party when they come to the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Leeds have had a slow start to the season so far but they have started to put some points up on the board recently, with a win against Norwich City and a draw against Leicester City in the last match that they have played.

Team news is yet to be released but it would not be a surprise to see both sides go at it with three points on each other’s minds given the situation that both clubs have found themselves in over the recent weeks and months.

Nonetheless, what will be guaranteed is an entertaining football match and one that should provide some rather exciting and attacking football.
