There have been a number of players to have played in the Premier League over the years, with many individuals having stood out for a plethora of reasons.

Some have managed to make a name for themselves in a hugely positive way because of what they managed to bring to the club – attacking or defensively; however there have been some footballers who have looked so out of place in England’s top league and have left questions as to whether they were actually professional footballers in the first place.

Indeed, asking questions can be a normal part of life, however those that like to use bookmakers when they watch sporting events should look to use sites like https://s-bobet.com/ as these can help to eliminate any unnecessary questions from surfacing.

FourFourTwo compiled a list of their top 50 players and these five individuals were handed the top five spots in the list. Here is just some of the reasons as to why they did

5. Jozy Altidore (Hull, Sunderland)

Jozy Altidore was the definition of a player who could not hit a barn door with a banjo when he played in the Premier League. Over two spells with Hull City and Sunderland, the forward hit just two goals in 70 league games. However, he is showing everyone why he was highly-sought in the past as he continues to be prolific in the MLS.

4. Milton Nunez (Sunderland)

Milton Nunez – might be a name that not many remember but then again, he never did give us a reason to. Signed by Sunderland in 2000 for £1.6m, he played one appearance as rumours started to swirl suggesting the Black Cats signed the wrong man!

It was believed Peter Reid had been interested in Adolfo Valencia – Nunez’s team-mate at POAK – instead. Nunez appeared to fuel the rumours after he contradicted himself in two interviews in the space of a year. Didn’t know what he was doing on the pitch, or with his words.

3. Massimo Taibi (Manchester United)

Massimo Taibi or Francesco Toldo? Hindsight can be a wonderful thing and Sir Alex Ferguson will have wished he could turn the clock back following his brother’s recommendation.

Taibi did start well – a man of the match performance against Chelsea – however a howler against Southampton cost him dearly, as he played a handful of times after that incident – which included a 5-0 loss to Chelsea.

2. Savio (West Ham)

The Hammers needed to replace Craig Bellamy and signed Savio from Serie B side Brescia for £9m. However, he lasted just 10 Premier League games as he struggled massively and moved back to Italy six months later for just a third of the money they initially spent.

1. Ali Dia (Southampton)

Ali Dia has to be the worst player to have ever featured in the Premier League – if you could have ever called him a player? He claimed he was the cousin of George Weah and had trials with the likes of Coventry City and Bournemouth that were unsuccessful.

Graeme Souness decided to give him a go at Southampton and would have been shocked by what he witnessed. The forward appeared to just run around the pitch for 52 minutes without doing anything before being hooked and never to be seen again.
