To kick off the main card, we have a pivotal fight in the Light Heavyweight division, as submission ace Paul Craig takes on knockout artist Johnny Walker.
Craig, ranked ninth in the Light Heavyweight division, will look to rebound from a recent loss to Volkan Oezdemir. Previous to the defeat, Craig had been on a six-fight unbeaten streak.
Meanwhile, Walker comes into this fight off a victory over Ion Cutelaba. A much needed one, as Walker had lost four of the last five and was coming off a devastating knockout to Jamahal Hill.

UFC 283: Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker Best Bet
Under 1 ½ Rounds (-175) @ Bovada
If there is anything certain about Paul Craig and Johnny Walker, it’s that neither fighter goes to the scorecards often. In twenty-two professional fights, Craig has only gone the distance twice.
Meanwhile, in twenty-six professional fights, Walker has only been to the scorecards three times. With Craig boasting a 100% finishing rate and Walker a 95% finishing rate, this fight likely won’t need the judges.
The reason the under sticks out, is that the majority of stoppages from both men, have come early in the fight. In fact, in Craig’s twenty-two fights, sixteen have been stopped under 1 ½ rounds.
As for Walker, in twenty-six fights, nineteen have ended under 1 ½ rounds. With the statistics to back it up, take the under.

UFC 283: Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker Prediction
This will be a hectic and chaotic fight, as both men waste little time trying to put their foes away.
Paul Craig is a noted submission artist, who has enjoyed recent success. Going 5-1-1 over his last seven fights, the Scot entrenched himself in the top ten of the Light Heavyweight rankings. With thirteen submission victories to his name, Craig fancies getting the fight to mat at any cost — even if it means pulling guard, which has aided him in pulling off several triangle chokes.
Not the best on the feet, and with iffy durability, Craig’s chances of winning hedge solely on grappling.

Johnny Walker is quite the opposite. With fifteen of his eighteen victories coming via knockout, and albeit his most recent win coming via a rear naked choke, Walker does the majority of his handy work on the feet. Loaded with legitimate power in his hands, Walker can put any light heavyweight down.
However, he too can be stopped, as his durability and takedown defense leave little to be desired.
While this fight can go either way, we like Walker to win. Facing a grappler in Craig, who is vulnerable on the feet, has iffy durability and isn’t very good in taking down foes, Walker should have plenty of opportunities to stop Craig. Fighting in his native home of Rio de Janeiro,Brazil, Walker will get the aided boost from the crowd.
Our prediction: Walker via knockout – place a bet at Bovada and enjoy the fight!
