New Balance introduces Russia Inspired Football and Lifestyle Otruska Pack

New Balance has revealed its Russian inspired Otruska Pack, offering consumers the chance to experience the first mixed football and lifestyle product pack from the brand. Designed with key callouts to Russia, which is hosting one of its biggest footballing years for the country to date, the Otruska Pack gives the public the first glimpse of New Balance Football’s new boot, Tekela, in addition to the upgraded Furon 4.0 boot. Completing the pack is the 574 Sport and stylish Fresh Foam Cruz Sport lifestyle shoes, all in a striking White with Flame Red detail.

The Otruska Pack draws inspiration from the mythical two-headed hellhound, Orthrus. The Otruska Pack represents attack in dual form, Ferocity and Deception. It’s time to Choose your attacking boot. The Pack will be officially launched through a global media event at the New Balance Residence store in Moscow. Located in the famous Stoleshnikov Lane, the Residence will host a series of New Balance Russian inspired events throughout 2018.

New boot Tekela, from the Otruska Pack, is for the innovators who use speed and manoeuvrability to change the outcome of games. With a full foot micro fibre upper, featuring dynamic kinetic stitch embroidered bands, Tekela wearers get exceptional stability, feel and touch – allowing them to be fearlessly creative going forward. The outsole has been engineered for agility; featuring a TPU with inlayed nylon chassis, conical studs providing 360 rotational traction and finished with an Electro chrome plated outsole in flame.

Designed for speed, acceleration and accuracy, Furon 4.0 from the Otruska Pack is designed for attackers who finish without mercy. Using FantomFit technology and Hidraskin touch membrane, with an enlarged cleanlace contact zone, Furon 4.0 allows for a clean, precise strike in front of goal – clinical and lethal. The outsole has been engineered for acceleration; featuring a TPU with inlayed nylon chassis for increased stiffness, directional toe off texture and finished with an Electro chrome plated outsole in flame. Both boots will be worn by New Balance pro-players in the tournament this summer.

The Fresh Foam Cruz Sport fuses a lightweight upper with soft Fresh Foam cushioning for serious comfort and exceptional style. The shoe features way soft, lightweight Fresh Foam cushioning in the midsole and a 2-way stretch upper with modern midfoot saddle helping to intersect style with comfort.

Designed to bridge the gap between performance and lifestyle, the 574 Sport combines New Balance’s widely recognized, classic running style and its modern Fresh Foam cushioning technology for maximum comfort. The shoe epitomizes New Balance’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and premium materials for the modern-day wearer.

General Manager of New Balance Football Kenny McCallum said, “New Balance is excited to introduce a Russia-inspired football and lifestyle pack, bridging style and performance. Our football boots are engineered for attacking players who have the hunger to set the pitch alight. We are introducing the first look at the Tekela, for the innovators, alongside an upgrade to the Furon boot, for the finishers. Otruska also offers stylish off-pitch companions for the boots in the form of the 574 Sport and Fresh Foam Cruz Sport in a clean White and Flame colourway.”

The Otruska Pack is now available globally at www.newbalance.com/football (US residents) and www.newbalance.co.uk/football (UK residents).
