Football Betting: How to Bet on Football

Football is one of the exciting games in the world. Its suspense and unpredictability are what make it one of the best entertaining sports. Football has evolved over the past few decades, with tons of money being invested in it and as that is being done, people betting on football also increased along with it, or should we say the football betting websites increase on the internet.

As they always say, a tiger can’t give birth to a dog as its cub. Football Betting has also been one of the most popular sports betting in the world. But despite its popularity amongst its fans and punters, there are still some people who need guidance on how to bet on football. In this article, we will be discussing several ways you can place a bet on the popular sport.

Outright Result Betting

This is a type of football bet based on predicting a given result, for example, Southampton to defeat Everton. These are the simplest forms of football betting and also over good value, with several online bookmakers out there; you can compare the odds between them and also knowing which of them cover all outright betting in football betting. With the hopes of getting you to place bets with them rather than others, online bookies always send out promotional offers and deals on an outright bet to new customers and regular ones, which sees your outright bets with an increase in value immensely.

But what you should be careful about when it comes to outright betting on football is when the game is in a Cup tournament, where the match can go past 90 minutes. When betting on a cup competition like an FA Cup final, you can bet on both who will lift the Cup and the result in 90 minutes. They are two different types of bet, betting on an outright win result in 90 minutes of the match and it ended in a stalemate, then you have lost your football bet.

Accumulators Football Betting

This is one of the most common types of football bet and it is also the bet that is large and always backed with promotional deals and offers from bookmakers like accumulator insurance or bonus enhancement with some percentage value-added. It is sometimes referred to as ACCA. An accumulator bet is the selection of several events into one bet. For you to win this type of bet, your predictions for all the selections have to go through before you can claim a win and if one of the selections fail to win, you lose the whole Acca bet.

An accumulator bet selection in football betting can cover different types of bet, like the over/under, match betting, handicap, both teams to score, correct score, and so on. The bookmakers use accumulators’ football betting to attract customers with their promotional offers.

Correct Score

This is a type of football betting for punters that have a blessed with lots of confidence when betting on football. This type of football bets requires you to predict the exact score line of a football match at the end of the final whistle. For example, you predict the final score of Manchester City v Crystal Palace match will be 3-1. You can only win this bet when the match ends in that “3-1” you predicted nothing more nothing less. If there happens to be an injury-time goal that led the match ending in 3-2 or 4-2 you immediately lose the bet.

Goal Scorer Football Betting

Betting on football can be easy and also hard to predict, in this type of football bet you are required to place a bet on a specific player to score in the match. You lose this bet when the player ended up not scoring in the match.
