Mentality monsters: Defeat to delight

It’s going to be a funny old start to the season, as Liverpool look to defend their first title in 30 years behind closed doors.

For those used to standing on the Kop it’s going to be difficult to deal with, but never fear as you can still cheer your team on in style with £250 worth of Liverpool merchandise up for grabs.

That’s right, Which Bookie have teamed up with leading Liverpool fan site Anfield Watch to give away a fantastic bundle from their Champions Range which includes t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, prints and more so you can feel like you’re on the terraces when watching from home.

To enter the competition, Which Bookie are asking fans to look a little further back than last season’s incredible title win, and to the previous season in which they’d won the title – 1989/90.

It was a team full of stars, including the likes of John Barnes, Ian Rush and Peter Beardsley and closed a decade which saw the club win six titles under the stewardship of a series of club legends.

The club won the league by nine points in 1989/90, a feat surpassed with the Reds’ 18 point league win this season, and they’ll want to go on and defend it this year.

It wasn’t to be for Liverpool in 1990/91, with their last title also the last at the club for one legend, who won the league as a player six times with the club and three times as a manager. But Which Bookie want to know, who was it?

To enter, simply head to the Which Bookie website and answer the following question…

Who was the Liverpool manager when the club won the league title in 1989-90?

  1. Bob Paisley
  2. Graeme Souness
  3. Kenny Dalglish
  4. Roy Evans

The competition closes on September 16, 2020 and players must be aged 18 or over. You can find full terms and conditions on the Which Bookie and Anfield Watch websites.

The prize you will win is a bundle from the Anfield Watch Champions Range and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products from the store. The full list of prizes are:

  • 1 x Dian Champions range print A1 size
  • 3 x Champions range x A3 prints
  • 2 x Champions range x hoodies
  • 4 x Champions range Mugs
  • All badges for Premier League, Club World Cup and Champions League
  • 3 x Champions range t-shirts
