Despite not having the rights for the current UEFA 2020 European Championships that is already in full swing, it is rather obvious that the FIFA Game Series have not let that fact put them off from providing their players with the very best they can this summer.
FIFA 21 might be replaced by FIFA 22 next season, however EA Sports have continued to make the game as enjoyable and as rewarding to play this summer by providing players with a new update that will allow them to play as their favourite nations.
The game has recently provided a huge update to the international arena with the current tournament taking place, allowing players to go up against each other and compete as a national side and try and to achieve glory.
The game, which allows players to buy FIFA 21 coins when playing in other modes such as Ultimate Team, does not have the license required to call the international tournament by its proper name, however there was no way that EA Sports were going to let their rivals have all the fun whilst the competition takes place across Europe for the next month.
Whilst there was no direct reference to the 2020 UEFA European Championships, it became evident that the update was designed with it in mind as it was released on the day of the tournament kicking off (11 June), when they announced the news on their Instagram account.
To get around this, though, FIFA 21 decided to launch a new game that can be closely seen as a link to the current competition (and the Copa America) without actually ever mentioning it. This game is the FIFA 21 Festival of FUTball mode.
This game mode will see players receive in-game upgrades depending on what they do when they play for their national team in the competitions taking place, which is a little like the FIFA 21 RTTF (Road To The Final) game, although these will be more specific to the international tournaments.
There have been a number of players to have been included, with many of the world’s biggest and best players all featuring. These individuals can each receive a number of in-game upgrades and updates when their international team has been able to amass three wins, whilst each subsequent victory (up to five) after that will see them be able to increase their overall rating by +1 whilst a sixth win will see 5* upgrades to weak foot and skill move traits.
