US Open Men’s Predictions & Betting Odds
Novak Djokovic 10/11
Novak Djokovic returns to Flushing Meadows for the first time in two years after COVID vaccination issues kept him out last year.
He’ll have a bit between his teeth after his last visit ended in tears when Medvedev stopped him from winning a historic Career Grand Slam.
Amazingly, Djokovic is once again on course for another historic year and will be gunning for a 25th Grand Slam when he arrives at the US Open. Despite his advancing years, the Serbian remains unstoppable over five sets and has already won the Australian Open and the French Open as we write this.
Fatigue and niggling injury issues might hinder him at times in New York, and we don’t think he’ll have it all his own way this time around. After all, he’ll be competing against some extremely competent hard-court players who enjoy the fast bounce.
The odds suggest Djokovic is the big favourite – but whether you have the stomach to place a large stake in him is your call.
Bet on Novak Djokovic to win the US Open at LuckLand!
Carlos Alcaraz 5/2
Carlos Alcaraz is the current US Open champion. Naturally, he won his title last year in mitigating circumstances because there was no Novak Djokovic. Had the Serbian competed, things might have ended differently.
With all that in mind, Carlos is certainly comfortable on these courts. He beat the likes of Jannik Sinner, Frances Tiafoe and Casper Ruud on his way to victory last year, and he also thrashed another close contender, Daniil Medvedev, in the Indian Wells final earlier this year.
That and the fact that Carlos is one of the most complete tennis players the tennis world has ever seen at his age points to him being Djokovic’s closest rival this year.
Youth, as well as his incredible speed, power and composure, are all on his side as he bids to win a successive US Open title. Provided cramps don’t hinder him like they did at the French Open (and they shouldn’t), we wouldn’t bet against Alcaraz right now.
Bet on Carlos Alcaraz to win the US Open at Grosvenor Casino!
Daniil Medvedev 4/1
It’s impossible to talk about potential US Open winners without including third seed and world number 3 Daniil Medvedev.
Medvedev won the US Open in 2021, beating Novak Djokovic in the final. “The Octopus” proved there and then that, despite what people might say, Djokovic isn’t totally invincible in five-set matches.
Medvedev didn’t do the best job at defending his US Open crown, falling in the fourth round to Nick Kyrgios last year. However, it’s fair to say that 2022 was a year to forget in general for Medvedev, who bounced back in style in 2023.
A poor French Open showing aside, Medvedev (who loves hard courts) has collected a slew of ATP titles this year and enjoys playing at the US Open. He also reached the 2019 final, where he lost to Nadal after taking a two-set lead.
In short, if anyone is capable of upsetting Djokovic and Alcaraz this year, it’s Medvedev, who’s available at a solid 4/1 at many betting sites.
Bet on Daniil Medvedev to win the US Open at Mr Play Sport!
Casper Ruud 16/1
A year ago, we probably wouldn’t have included Casper Ruud on the list of potential US Open winners. A clay expert, the Norwegian has never been shy when it comes to voicing his distaste for particular surfaces, including grass.
He even skipped the traditional build-up route to the Australian Open and also played no warm-up tournaments going into Wimbledon. The question is, how seriously does Casper take tennis when clay isn’t involved?
The question is still unanswered due to his inconsistency. Ruud reached last year’s US Open final (which surprised everyone) but was dumped out of the Australian Open in the second round.
His appearance in last year’s US Open final is the main reason we’ve got him down as a potential outsider this time around. There’s no doubting Ruud’s game – he has a huge forehand that often strikes a fatal blow – as well as his unusual starting position when returning first serve.
He has weaknesses, of course, and has lost all 3 Grand Slam finals that he’s appeared in. Has a sort-of neurosis set in? Time will tell. But for now, we think his current 16/1 price should prove too good to ignore.
Bet on Casper Ruud to win the US Open at All British Casino!
Jannik Sinner 10/1
People have been saying for the last few years that Jannik Sinner’s time is coming – but if not now, when?
We feel that Sinner’s time to win a Grand Slam tournament is getting nearer. When he’s in the mood and injury-free, the young Italian is practically unplayable and can hit the ball harder than almost anyone else on outdoor hard courts.
The issue is that the days when Sinner is either injury or illness-free seem to be rare. Just when he’s kicking into gear at a Slam, an injury derails him.
This, of course, is problematic for bettors, who have spent the last few months fading Sinner. It’s our argument that should he stay fit during the US Open; he can go all the way to the final (draw, depending). Then, it’s anyone’s guess what can happen next for the world number 8, who has yet to make it past the quarter-final at any Grand Slam event.

Guide to Betting on the US Open: What Types of Best Can You Place?
There are different ways UK customers can bet on the US Open, including betting on the outright winner and betting on each individual match pre-match and in-play.
In this section, we run you through the most popular types of bets you can place and explain how each one can work to your advantage.
Place Outright Winner Bets on US Open
Before the US Open starts, you can take a look at the outright winners market (also known as the futures betting market) and bet on a player you think will win the final.
Betting on the outright winner helps you to retain interest throughout the tournament, and it can be a lot of fun watching as your man or woman makes it through each round.
>> Place your bets at 888Sport
US Open Moneyline Betting
Moneyline betting (sometimes referred to as match betting) is when you bet on the match winner. At the US Open, this means you’re either betting on a favourite or an underdog to win a particular match.
Moneyline betting odds always reflect the market, and you’ll usually find that the favourite is odds-on while the underdog is odds-against.
Moneyline betting won’t always be a profitable venture if you back the favourite all the time due to the short odds. However, it might be a good idea to put a few moneyline accumulators together during the first few rounds of the US Open when there are lots of tennis matches to choose from.

Game Handicap Betting on US Open
The game handicap refers to how many total games you think the favourite will win their match by. For example, if the game handicap is set at (-2.5), a player must win their match by at least 3 clear games in order for you to win your bet.
The game handicap is a popular bet among more seasoned tennis bettors because, while it’s harder to get right than the moneyline, it offers better odds. While Djokovic might be odds-on to win a match, he might be odds-against to win it (-5.5).
Naturally, the game handicap is harder to get right because you need your guy to break serve a few times without himself being broken too often.
Total Number of Games
Sometimes referred to as “totals betting,” this type of bet is ideal for when you’re sure that a match will feature lots of games or few games – but you’re either not swayed by the moneyline odds, or you’re not sure who will win.
Essentially, a betting site will set a line – such as 42.5 total games – and you must decide whether or not a match will feature over 42.5 total games or under.
The odds for either are typically odds against, but if you find a sportsbook that offers alternative totals lines, you’ll be able to find more value.

Best Betting Tips for the US Open Tennis
Join Multiple Sportsbooks
UK customers have more choices than ever when it comes to top-notch betting sites, and we advise that you join as many as possible in preparation for the US Open.
This is because all sportsbooks offer different US Open odds, different markets and different bonuses. In order to ensure you’re always getting the best deal, it’s well worth joining a variety of betting sites and flipping between them as and when needed.
Opt-in to the Welcome Bonuses
All the best sportsbooks, like LuckLand, offer welcome bonuses to new customers – whether betting on table tennis or anything else, you should definitely take advantage of these promos. To opt in, you usually need to meet the minimum first deposit requirement, as well as make a qualifying bet that meets the min odds.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be rewarded with a bonus bet or bonus funds that you can then use on the US Open.
Check the Form
While a Grand Slam is an entirely different beast to any other tennis tournament, with the players more motivated than usual, it’s also true that players who come into the US Open in excellent or poor form tend to continue in their current vein once the event has started.
When you know how well each player is faring in the run-up to the US Open, you’ll be in a better position to judge who might have a good tournament and who might have a poor one.
Check the Head-to-Heads
Whenever you bet on an individual match, make sure to check the head-to-head before you place a bet.
Head-to-heads show you how well two players have fared against each other in the past and can be a good indicator as to how their next match might unfold. For instance, if an underdog has beaten a favourite 3 out of 4 times in the past, now might be the time to fade the favourite.
Take Fatigue and the Schedule into Account
Fatigue can play a huge factor in determining the results of Grand Slam matches, especially in the US Open men’s matches. If a player has exhausted themselves over five sets and is due to play again the next day, it’s safe to say that, while they might give it their all, their body might let them down.
Ready to Wager on US Open Tennis in the UK?
Betting on the US Open can be super exciting. The odds suggest Novak Djokovic will fight it out with Carlos Alcaraz, but underdogs like last year’s runner-up Casper Ruud can’t be discounted.
UK Customers can find the best US Open odds on all the best players at top-rated UK betting sites like our number one pick, LuckLand. If you join today, you can opt-in to a “bet £15 get £10” welcome offer and then take advantage of generous tennis odds.
