2023 US Open Fourth Round Predictions
Carlos Alcaraz vs Matteo Arnaldi
Top seed and reigning US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz will face Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi in the fourth round.
Arnaldi has quietly risen up the rankings in 2023 and anyone who’s been watching and studying tennis closely won’t be surprised to see him in the fourth round at Flushing Meadows. What might be more surprising is how he got here, demolishing seed Cam Norrie in straight sets.
Alcaraz has largely coasted through so far but he stumbled at times in his third round match versus Britain’s Dan Evans, surprisingly dropping a set.
He is obviously the huge (and we mean huge) favorite for this one and we see absolutely no reason to doubt him. We also think Arnaldi is capable of stealing a few break points, however, and feel positive about over 27.5 total games, which is currently odds-against. Get on it.
Prediction: Alcaraz in three
>>Take action on Alcaraz at BetOnline
Daniil Medvedev vs Alex de Minaur
As the rounds progress, the matches get harder and harder – and Medvedev will not be looking forward to this one.
The Russian has been tetchy on court for a few months now (well, tetchier) and wasn’t happy to drop a set versus O’Connell in the second round (and made sure we all knew it). If he loses his rag against the hard working, super-fast DeMinaur, he will lose this match.
De Minaur is the (+200) outsider, which we think represents an unbelievable price – especially when you consider DeMinaur beat Medvedev last month in Toronto in straight sets.
Either back the Aussie or take him to win more than 2 sets.
Prediction: DeMinaur in four.
>>Back Alex de Minaur at MyStake
Jack Draper vs Andrey Rublev
This could be the tie of the round – and it’s also going to be extremely tough to cap.
Brit Jack Draper is one of the most talented players on tour. The only reason he hasn’t risen to the top 20 yet is because his relatively brief career has been plagued by injuries.
Rublev, however, has been a consistent top 10 player for the last 3 years now. If it wasn’t for Djokovic and Alcaraz, we feel sure he’d been en route to winning a Slam very soon.
Draper’s injury issues (as well as his bothersome fatigue) are partly the reason we’re going with Rublev here. An interesting bet might be “Rublev to lose the first set and win the match.”
Other than that, Draper to break serve first is a hot prop bet for this one.
Prediction: Rublev in four
>>Pick Rublev to gut one out at MyBookie
Alexander Zverev vs Jannik Sinner
This is another close match, with twelfth seed Zverev facing off against sixth feed Sinner.
Both players have had solid seasons so far but both players will probably also feel they could have achieved a bit more. Sinner landed a Masters 1000 title in Canada last month but will have been disappointed not to have gone further at the French Open.
Zverev will surely feel the same way. And with the carrot of a US Open quarter final dangling in front of them both, these two powerhouses of modern-day tennis will fight tooth and nail in this one.
We expect drama and we expect lots and lots of games. The line is set at 38.5 total games but we’re confident enough to suggest betting on the over on this one.
If we’re really pushed, we’ll shoot for Zverev – who’s odds-against – to emerge victorious.
Prediction: Zverev in five.
>>Bet on Zverev to continue his run at Bovada

Key Tennis Bets You Need to Know
If you’re fairly new to the world of tennis betting and are still not sure what the different markets and bet types mean, this section will explain the best tennis bets you need to know.
Tournament Outright Winner
Betting on the outright winner of a tennis event can be done way ahead of the tournament started (in which case it’s known as a futures bet), but it can also be placed just before the tournament begins – and it can also be placed once a tournament has started.
Outright winner bets can be major money makers in tennis if you can spot the trends, such as Medvedev’s sensational hard court season so far in 2023 or Alcaraz’s clay dominance.
>> Place your outright winner bets at MyStake
Moneyline Bets
With a moneyline bet, you’re betting on which player you think will win a specific tennis match – such as Novak Djokovic to beat Casper Ruud at Monte-Carlo.
Moneyline bets are a simple type of tennis bet because the correct set scores don’t matter. Your man needs to beat his opponent at the end of the match.
That said, moneyline odds don’t always offer much value if the favorite is the heavy favorite – but it can offer amazing value if the bookies have overpriced an underdog that you’ve got a good feeling about.
>> Go to BetOnline and place your moneyline bets now
Game Handicap
When you can’t find any value among the moneyline bets, you could switch your attention to the game handicap.
For this one, your man needs to win his match – but he also needs to win it by X number of games.
For example, if Nadal’s game handicap is set at (-3.5), he would need to win by four clear games for you to win your bet.
Game handicapping is a popular market for astute tennis bettors who can spot when a player is going to breeze through his match. What’s more, it offers better odds than the moneyline bet – but the increased risk is that your man could win his match but not by enough games for you to win your bet.
>> Find the best handicap bets at MyBookie
Set Betting
Set betting is when you bet on the total number of sets at the end of the match and the exact score.
For example, you could bet on Carlos Alcaraz to win 2-0 or 2-1 (or him to lose 2-1 or 0-2).
Set betting is a solid option if you’re not confident about the game handicap, but you are confident that your man will easily win without a dropping set – or he’ll run into problems. In other words, he’ll win the match but concede a set along the way.
Moreover, set betting odds are often much more attractive than money line odds, simply because they are tricky to get right.

Totals Betting (Over/Under)
If you’re not sure who’ll win a tennis match but fancy betting on it anyway, you could dip into the totals betting.
With this, you can bet on a tennis match consisting of over X number of games played or under X number of games played.
For instance, if you think Djokovic v Nadal at the Monte-Carlo Masters will go the distance and include a few tie-breaks, you might want to bet on over 30.5 games. If you think that Alcaraz will blitz his opening opponent in straight sets, you could bet on under 18.5 games.
Totals betting in tennis can be profitable if you understand the sport and the form of each player, as well as how well they generally fare on specific surfaces and against specific players.

Guide to Tennis Betting
Where Can I Find Free Tennis Betting Tips?
Free tennis betting tips are available all over the internet, from tennis predictions Twitter accounts run by tipsters to websites dedicated entirely to tennis betting picks.
A quick search will help you find them – you can use keywords like “free tennis predictions” and “free tennis betting tips” – but it’s important to verify the credentials of any tennis predictions service before you place a bet.
Look at their history to see how often their tennis betting tips are and how many people follow them and listen to their tennis betting advice.
Are Free Tennis Predictions Ever Right?
Yes, free tennis predictions are sometimes right – especially those given by expert tennis tipsters who have been watching tennis matches and placing bets for years.
Naturally, no tennis tipsters are ever 100% right, but you can find pros who give out the best tennis picks today and can help you win more tennis bets.
Do I Have to Pay For the Best Tennis Predictions?
While some so-called experts who offer tennis predictions might charge a fee for their ‘services,’ legit and profitable tipsters do not charge anything. Instead, you can follow their social media profiles for tennis betting tips, although you might find that some are only reachable via private groups.

They also offer a range of other promos, such as free bets, reload bonuses, and cash-back bonuses. When you grab a bonus, check for the terms and conditions, such as when a bonus expires.
Don’t stick to your favorite players: While it can be tempting to bet on our favorite players, one of the smartest tennis tips is to bet with your head and not your heart. If you love Nadal, but it’s clear that he will lose his tennis match, it’s wiser to bet against him (or not bet at all).
