Masters Snooker 2024: Player Predictions and Odds
Ronnie O’Sullivan (4/1)
Ronnie O’Sullivan has rarely been better priced to be the tournament winner than he is right now. He’s available at attractive odds to win the Masters, the World Championship and the UK Championship in the 2023/24 season.

Judd Trump (5/1)

Neil Robertson (11/2)
The bookies have priced Neil Robertson as the third favourite to win the Masters snooker 2024.
Robertson’s 2022/23 season was interesting to say the least. He reached four tour semi-finals, including the English Open, but he didn’t make it past the first round in five other tournaments. In other words, Robertson either went hard or went home.
So what can we expect this time around from the Thunder from Down Under?
Robertson won the 2022 Masters, so he obviously has form here. In 2023, he didn’t make it past the first round – and he also didn’t make it past the first round in 3 out of his last 4 appearances The only time he did make it past the first round was when he won it.
We think backing Robertson is a bit of a long shot. But we also love a dark horse – and we think the Aussie world number 6 could be a real dark horse come January.
Shaun Murphy (10/1)
Shaun Murphy started his 2023/24 season with real intent, winning the Champions League in July. It was a statement from the Magician, who had fancied himself going into the World Championship 2023 before he was unceremoniously knocked out in the first round (9-10).
It was a setback for a snooker player who’s been on the comeback trail after an operation to reduce his weight.
We like the look of Murphy right now. He was thrashed 0-6 by Stuart Bingham at the Masters 2023 but he still had a solid season overall, picking up two titles and getting his world rankings back up to 7.
His 10/1 price makes him a bit of an outsider but – as we know in snooker – that doesn’t always count for a lot. Murphy is one of those guys who can compete with the best of them and we think he’ll be a contender.
We also think his price may shorten over the coming weeks if – as expected – he has a solid 2023/24 season. This ultimately means 10/1 may be a steal.
Mark Selby (13/2)
Like a lot of snooker players, it’s hard to know what to expect from Mark Selby. The Jester from Leicester made it all the way to the World Championship final in May 2023 and was the big favourite.
Yet he lost 15-18 to outsider Luca Brecel and admitted afterwards that he had almost quit the game previously due to personal issues.
The thing with Selby is that he’s one of the best – if not the best – players in the world. He loves to grind a result out and doesn’t care how long it takes. He has 22 titles to his name, including 4 World Championship victories, and probably doesn’t even need to still be playing snooker.
The fact he is still giving it a go suggests he still wants more. After his 2022/23 campaign ended in the ultimate disappointment, we expect Selby to be back at it this year, hungry for titles – and now might be the time to start getting behind him at such long odds.
