Important: The AFC Championship odds displayed on this odds are subject to change.
Sunday’s AFC Championship Game is bound to be a classic with QB Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (14-4) on the road against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (15-3). With Mahomes suffering a high-ankle sprain in last Saturday’s Divisional Game, the experts are favoring the scorching-hot Bengals by 1 ½ points.
Without Mahomes at 100%, KC becomes a rare playoff home underdog. On that note, the line makes sense when you consider that the Chiefs are an abysmal 5-12-1 ATS this season compared to the Bengals at 13-4-1. However, while Cincy is a solid 7-3 on the road, KC is 8-1 at home. This AFC Championship Game has all the makings of a classic so prepare for an explosive match.

Bengals vs Chiefs AFC Championship Game Predictions & Betting Lines

After tons of research on these odds, we’ve hand-picked some odds that have great value and deserve your attention.
Over/Under:
So, perhaps Mahomes isn’t as mobile as usual. He can still sling it and the Chiefs were still the number one offense in the NFL during the regular season, ranking first overall in total points scored at 29.2 per game. The Bengals ranked seventh overall at 26.1 points per game. With that in mind, we like over 23.5 in the first half at +105 as a good first-half bet.
Over 47 is worth checking out as well with the last two games between these squads yielding a total of 102 points for 51 points per game. In fact, the last five times the Bengals and Chiefs have met, they’ve combined to average a whopping 55.8 points per contest. We’re sticking with the high scores and feel BetOnline’s over 47 at -107 represents great value.

Moneyline:
With such a slim point spread, it’s hard to recommend either but each is a good pick straight-up as both moneylines have great value. While the Bengals won’t yield as much of a return at -120, if you feel Mahomes may be ineffective due to his ankle, that’s a good line to take Cincy straight up.
On the contrary, the Chiefs are at +100, a great value for a team that won a Super Bowl two seasons ago and has their two biggest assets intact: Mahomes and coach Andy Reid. If you think the ankle won’t be enough of an issue for Mahomes to lead his team to the Super Bowl, then we think the Chiefs’ moneyline at +100 is an excellent pick.
>> Bet on either the Bengals of the Chiefs to win outright
Prop Bets:
There are tons of prop bets available for the Bengals vs Chiefs Championship Game with one of our favorites being KC scoring on their opening drive at +141. KC is very good out of the gate and will usually grab points on their first drive so we like this as a prop bet.
With the experts predicting such a tight match, we also see a lot of value in the lead for either team being less than 16.5 points at any time in the match with -139 odds. It’s highly doubtful these teams don’t play a tight game and with that in mind, either being down by more than three scores at any point feels highly unlikely so keep an eye on this prop bet for good value too.

Cincinnati Bengals & Kansas City Chiefs History
Until recent times, as in the last full calendar year, there hasn’t been a whole lot of history between these squads. Looking at their history, the Bengals hold an 18-14 in a series with only 32 games played dating back to 1968.
Recently, the matchup was injected with a lot of adrenaline with the teams meeting in last season’s AFC Championship Game. Cincy would walk away with a 27-24 victory in that game, moving on to play in the Super Bowl and keeping the Chiefs from a chance to win their second.
This season, the teams met in Cincinnati with the Bengals once again victorious. Cincy has now won the last three contests in this series.
Why Should I Bet Online On the AFC Championship Game?
Simple, because it’s more convenient, faster, and safer. There isn’t much benefit to betting at an in-person casino these days, especially not on sports where the number of odds online feels infinite. There are quite a few more reasons to place bets online instead of at an in-person casino.
Incredibly Accessible – Perhaps you’re at the park and want to check out the odds on the NFL. It will be all right there for you on your phone whether you downloaded the app or just browse the website. Many of these online books also provide 24/7 customer support.
Great Selection – In-person casinos can often have limited selections on their events, especially the smaller games. This isn’t the case with many online sportsbooks as they post an amazing array of games from NFL football to eSports. On top of that are all the great odds within each event, specifically big games which often have hundreds of bets to choose from.
Comfort – Don’t you want to be as comfortable as possible if you decide to bet on the Bengals vs Chiefs? We thought so. With online betting there is no reason to have to leave your house should you choose as you can have the entire betting platform at your disposal whether it’s on your laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
NFL Wild Card Highlights:
Best Bengals vs Chiefs AFC Championship Game Predictions

A repeat of last season’s AFC Championship Game shows you just how consistent the Bengals and Chiefs have been over the last two years. They’ve set the bar and now they battle it out for a ticket to the Super Bowl. So, who’s going to advance between these two elite teams?
Bengals vs Chiefs: Offensive-Minded
Nobody thinks of defense when it comes to the Bengals and Chiefs, although both have solid defensive units. Offense, however, is what both teams are known for as they rank at the top of the NFL in several categories, both as teams and individuals. Mahomes led the league with 41 TDs, and Burrow was tied for second with 35.
As a team, the Chiefs are the best in the business on offense but their defense doesn’t stand out as they give up 21.7 points a contest, 16th overall. They excel against the run, however, where they’re holding opponents to 107.2 points a game, eighth-best in the NFL. The Bengals are a bit better on defense overall than KC but they give up an average of 229.1 passing yards a game, 23rd in the league.

How The Bengals Can Advance To The Super Bowl
Burrow and company need to do what they did against the Buffalo Bills: don’t be intimidated and play their game. That is, Burrow needs to play mistake-free under center while the defense will need to contain Mahomes, even if he’s not 100%. The point is, Cincinnati has to keep the Chiefs’ offense off the field as much as possible if they want to win.
One thing the Bengals did a great job of against the Bills in the Divisional Round was to play aggressively at the start. They took chances early and it paid off. It’s a strategy they may need to repeat in the Championship Game if they want to win on the road at one of the NFL’s toughest venues in Arrowhead Stadium.

How The Chiefs Can Advance To The Super Bowl
First things first, get Mahomes as healthy as possible for Sunday’s contest. High ankle sprains are difficult to heal quickly from but Mahomes can get it done from the pocket without scrambling too much if needed. It won’t be easy but if the Pro Bowl QB can grit out four quarters Sunday, it’s hard to beat any team with Mahomes.
Mahomes can’t do it all himself, of course, so the Kansas City defense needs to contain a dangerous Bengals offense. They’ve given up 27 each of the last two times they played Cincy but that won’t fly this weekend. The Chiefs’ secondary has to limit Burrow’s big plays to receivers Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins while their defensive line needs to hold RB Joe Mixon to under 100 yards. If they succeed in these two areas, they will advance to the Super Bowl.

Three In A Row? (AFC Championship 2023 Bengals vs Chiefs)
We know the Bengals beat the Chiefs in this same game last season, ruining their Super Bowl hopes. Then, they beat KC again this season by the same exact score of 27-24. As great as Cincinnati plays against the Chiefs, can they beat them a third consecutive time in a year? We don’t think so. Although Mahomes won’t be as mobile, he’ll get the Chiefs past the Bengals.

What Is The Best Bet For Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL Championship Game?
Without any guarantees, we feel the best value bet for this game is that the biggest lead of the game will be under 16 ½ points at -139, which you can bet on at BetOnline or Bovada.
Who Will Win The Bengals vs Chiefs Championship Game?
As the slimmest spread of the two NFL Championship Games, this is a tough call. The Bengals have been on fire and Mahomes is injured. That being said, the Chiefs are at home and it’s hard to beat them three times in a year. We think KC wins.

The winner of this game advances to the Super Bowl where they’ll play either the Philadelphia Eagles or San Francisco 49ers of the NFC.

Ready To Place Your Bets On The Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas Chiefs AFC Championship Game?
As this is one of the biggest NFL games of the year, there’s a strong chance you’re thinking of placing a bet on this huge matchup.
We think the smartest bet for this game is that no team’s lead will be larger than 16 ½ points (-139). The Bengals and the Chiefs have simply played each other too close lately to allow much separation in this game. This doesn’t mean there won’t be scoring, though.
With Mahomes and Burrow, we like the first half to go over 23 ½ points (+105) as well as over 47 (-107) for the game. You can place all of these bets and many others at Bovada and BetOnline at great odds.
