Barrie Tomlinson was the group editor in charge of the sport and adventure department at IPC Magazines. As such, he was in charge of such titles as Tiger, Roy of the Rovers, Wildcat, Speed, Mask, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Scream, Ring Raiders and hundreds of annuals and specials. After his time on the comics, he wrote the Scorer football strip in the Daily Mirror, which appeared six days a week for 22 years. Barrie has written two books about his time on the comics. 'Real Roy of the Rovers Stuff' is about his time working with Roy of the Rovers. 'Comic Book Hero' is about the other comics he has edited. Both books are still on sale.
