Liverpool’s 2013/14 season might have been one that will not be looked upon too fondly by the club’s passionate fanbase, but did it have its moments!

The Reds played some outstanding football throughout the campaign, however there were a number of moments that really did not go to plan and ultimately cost them from winning their first Premier League title six years prior to picking up their latest one under Jurgen Klopp.

Of course, such moments as Steven Gerrard’s slip and Luis Suarez’s uncontrollable tears following the aftermath of Crystanbul all remain firmly in the memories of many football fans, however Aly Cissokho’s season should also be remembered because of how laughable it truly was. Bettors can only laugh, though, if they do not use sites like https://s-bobet.com/ to help increase their gambling experience.

It must be said that the defender had some pedigree prior to his Anfield arrival, as he had played for a host of top clubs across Europe such as Porto, Olympique de Lyonnais and Valencia before making the switch to England – incidentally, he is a free agent at the moment. He had even been able to make appearances for the France National Team prior to his move.

He made 19 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side that season, however he really should not have gone on to make as many as he did if his first-ever touch of the ball in a Liverpool shirt was a sign of things to come.

The defender was the recipient of a throw-in, in which he allowed the ball to hit him and just roll down him before the Aston Villa defender took the ball from him – funnily enough, the club to take him from Anfield.

It is hard to understand why Aston Villa did decide to sign him, though, as the return fixture at Anfield hardly went any better. He had a shot that would end up high in the stands and nowhere near troubling Brad Guzan in the goal – in fact, the American might have been proud of the kick if it were a goal-kick.

However, the banter season of 2013/14 for Cissokho was not all negative, as he had his moments that made it even more ridiculous when taking a look at his performances. The former France international picked out Suarez with a pin-point cross against West Bromwich Albion that allowed the Uruguayan forward to net with his head from 18 yards out.

He then followed that up with a goal against Stoke City, although it was just comical – therefore keeping in with the theme of his season at Anfield. The defender’s effort was heading towards the corner flag before it took a ridiculous deflection and wrong-footed the Potters’ ‘keeper.

The way he celebrated would suggest he meant it, though.
