WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS HOME 1992-93

1992-93 – the first year of the newly-formed Premier League – saw Wolves in Division 1; England’s second tier where they’d spent the previous three seasons struggling in mid-table.

Graham Turner, who was the architect of the Old Gold’s climb back up the league structure from Division 4, was still in charge at Molineux for another frustrating campaign that saw another season of league obscurity, no discernible cup run and an early exit from the Anglo-Italian Cup despite having players of the calibre of Bull, Andy Mutch, Robbie Dennison and Derek Mountfield.

Highlight of the season, apart from Bull netting his 200th goal for the club, was this Goodyear sponsored jersey with its mud-stained design reminiscent of an over-ripe banana.
