Bowyer vs Dyer, Le Saux vs Batty: When teammates fight

Bowyer vs Dyer, Le Saux vs Batty: When teammates fight

Turkish league football can be a rather fiery affair for fans in the stands at fixtures, especially when teams such as Galatasaray and Fenerbache compete against each other, whilst fights between footballers can also break out at times.

Every football fan has seen a player square up to another player on the opposite team, as they were upset and annoyed with a tackle or with time-wasting that has occurred, but seeing two players on the same team fight each other can be rather rare. Bettors can fight with themselves, though, if they do not use svenskaspelsajter.org to get the latest bonuses on offer!

However, Monday’s match between Giresunspor and Galatasaray saw exactly that happen as Marcao was sent off after head-butting and punching Kerem Akturkoglu just after the hour mark of the season opener. The altercation can be seen here in the video, but it came about after Akturkoglu appeared to shush the highly regarded superstar, to which he took exception.

The Brazilian was the only player to be sent off regarding the incident, although the Turkish attack was also substituted after it as their team managed to hold onto the 2-0 lead that they had built in the first half. Coincidently, there was a second red card in the game, but that was for the hosts as Giresunspor were down to ten men before the halftime whistle as Husamettin Tut was sent off for his role in the penalty; perhaps so he could check out the bonuses available at svenskaspelsidor.eu during the break and use them throughout the second half.

However, there have been a number of players before them and there will be a number of players after them to have had a fight amongst themselves, with a couple of the most memorable listed below.

Kieran Dyer and Lee Bowyer probably have the most memorable in the modern game as the pair clashed when they were playing for Newcastle United. The pair had a heated exchange that would end up with the two coming to blows in 2005, leading to both of them being sent off in the game against Aston Villa.

Graeme Le Saux and David Batty also came to blows with each other after going 3-0 down in a game, however the pair were playing for Blackburn Rovers in Russia as part of their European adventure that season against Spartak Moscow.

The pair clashed as they went for the same ball, with Le Saux landing the opening punch on Batty before captain Tim Sherwood got involved and separated the pair. Surprisingly, neither man even received a yellow card for the incident, thus providing some football fans with a great sense of nostalgia.
