Best Premier League debut goals to have been scored

Playing in the Premier League can be a huge occasion for many players. Some will, unfortunately, feel the pressure a little more than they would have liked, whilst others will take their time to get to grips with the demands of England’s top-flight.

However, there are some that take it all in their stride and actually make a mockery of how challenging and difficult the league is supposed to be considering the reputation it has around the world. Speaking of making a mockery, bettors will avoid being mocked by bookmakers if they use sites such as https://s-bobet.com/ for all their needs.

There have been many to have scored wonder goals on their debut, however which individuals have arguably scored the best and made the biggest impact?

Fabrizio Ravanelli

Having joined Middlesbrough from Juventus in a deal worth a reported £7m back in 1996, many would have been astounded that the Teesside club were able to bring in the Italian international. However, they would have been left with their jaws on the floor following his debut as he managed to smash a hat-trick against Liverpool!

Danny Rose

Scoring a goal on your debut in a north London derby is one way of making a name, however scoring a worldie in the same fixture is certainly another! Danny Rose introduced himself to Spurs fans when he smashed a thunderbolt against Arsenal in 2010!

Paulo Wanchope

Costa Rican international, Paulo Wanchope, was a relatively unknown quantity when he joined Derby County, however after the Rams opening match in the 1996/97 season with Manchester United, many football fans will have heard of the Latin American.

The forward netted a superb debut goal against the Red Devils as he breezed past the defence, worked himself into some space and slid the ball past Peter Schmeichel.

Mario Stanic

The Croatian might not be remembered that well in the Premier League, however Chelsea fans will remember what Mario Stanic managed to do on his debut against West Ham United. He might have only bagged seven league goals, but the way he juggled the ball nonchalantly before unleashing a volley from 35 yards out into the net sent Stamford Bridge wild!

Federico Macheda

Federico Macheda’s career certainly has not gone the way his impact debut at Manchester United would have suggested it could. Sir Alex Ferguson threw the youngster on to the pitch as the Red Devils were looking to overturn a two-goal deficit against Aston Villa as they were embroiled in a title race with Liverpool in 2009.

The 17-year-old would strike the winner following a Cristiano Ronaldo equaliser, as he produced an incredible turn inside the box and fired the ball into the top corner of the net!
